Becky became a licensed Realtor in 1985, at the age of thirty, because she had purchased her first property two years prior and was disconcerted by what she did not know about real estate. Becky attended UC Santa Barbara and UC Berkeley as an English major, and subsequently went into the restaurant business with her family. Being in the restaurant business, she was familiar with sales and not particularly impressed with the service she had received as a buyer. She vowed to be a different kind of Realtor, one completely dedicated to the true meaning of service. With dedication and hard work, Becky became the top producing agent in her brokerage firm by 1987.
Having married a real estate appraiser in 1991, Becky decided to work in the appraisal field as a researcher, appraisal editor and operations manager, during the recession, in 1993. It gave her valuable skills, but by ’94 she was back full time listing and selling real estate. In 2008 she upgraded her license to broker status. Becky consistently sells over $20,000,000 of real estate every year. In 2014, Becky brought Rick and Sue Warren to the Becky Adams Team, a dynamic couple with years of construction and management experience, who love working with buyers. They had been selling Becky’s listings for years, and the transactions had always gone well due to their dedication to their work. It was a natural step to combine their talents in order to provide the ultimate in real estate service.
Becky is a full-service Broker. This means that, with the help of the Associates on her team, she schedules all inspections, cleaning, gardening, moving…whatever is required to make life easier for the buyer or seller during the purchase, listing and sale of the property. She accompanies showings, if required, sets up appointments to show and calls with feedback and follow-up on the showing. She looks at the marketing of the home as a collaborative process with the client. Your feedback, from choice of photographs to advertising copy and house staging is very important to her. She relies on her intuition and respects the intuition of the client as well.
Becky is an expert negotiator. One of her mottos is, “Never forget for whom you are working.” This makes it easy to be fair to all parties concerned, and finding the best way to articulate a buyer or sellers’ position in negotiations is one of her specialties.
Becky believes strongly in the use of the Multiple Listing Service and in cooperation with other real estate agents. Therefore, promotion of listings to other Realtors takes priority. She is known for her consideration of her peers, as she feels this is the best way to obtain the best possible price and most qualified Buyers for the properties she represents. To this end, she offers Broker Caravans to give agents a welcome first introduction to the listing, strives to make showings as easy as possible and communicates with expediency to address any questions or concerns that they have about the property.
The Scenic Coast Association of Realtors has ranked Becky as the number one listing agent for houses sold (Los Osos, Morro Bay, Cayucos, Cambria). Among independently owned Coldwell Banker Franchises, she consistently ranks in the top 50 agents in California. For 2007, Becky was one of the Top Ten Agents for Coldwell Banker’s Franchises in the Western Region, #7 out of 16,500 agents. She receives the highest awards given to Coldwell Banker agents: President’s Elite and President’s Premier. The Becky Adams Team works in Cambria, Cayucos, Morro Bay, Los Osos, San Luis Obispo, Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, Shell Beach, Avila Beach, Grover Beach, Templeton, Paso Robles, and Atascadero.
Becky was President of the Scenic Coast Association of Realtors in 2000 and has been on many committees. She supports the Rotary Clubs, Historical Society, Central Coast SurviveOars and Coast Union Boosters, as well as the Library and other organizations such as Allied Arts, Greenspace, Piedras Blancas Lighthouse Association, Special Olympics and the Cambria Education Foundation.
Although awards and kudos are gratefully accepted, nothing means more to Becky than the satisfaction of her clients, and the words, “I love my new home!” or “Thank you so much for everything you did to get my home sold!”
Becky is happily married to Burt, with two daughters, and three grandchildren. She is a committed paddler with the Central Coast Dragon Boat Association and health buff. She loves reading, writing, singing, dancing and good food!

Born and spending his boyhood years on a small town in Oregon, Rick has the down to earth demeanor and sense of honesty. As an adolescent he used to watch an old man named Pete build houses. At age 7, with Pete’s help Rick used scraps to build a Lemonade stand that he operated on the highway every morning during the summer. All this while his little friends were playing in the mud.
Upon graduating high school, Rick took up construction. Within a few years, as a young man in his twenties, Rick had build up a contracting business building homes throughout the fast growing areas of Portland. Within ten years, he had built over 100 homes and received numerous builder awards.
Rick relocated to California thirty years ago, continuing to build custom luxurious homes throughout the East Bay area. From foundations to detailed gourmet kitchens, his houses always contained unique and creative nuances that showed his pride of craftsmanship. His empathy and unique ability to ‘understand’ the visions of others enabled him to suit to their exact needs.
Rick and his wife Sue have two lovely children who have taken after their father and are both free and creative spirits on their own. Having fallen in love with the California Central Coast area after years of summering here, the family moved to Cambria over a decade ago. Although spending his life around real estate, this is where he fell in love with the idea of becoming a REALTOR®. He rode his bike or drove through every street in Cambria to look at every little house and view. He’s funny that way. It was then he decided to take up the cause.
With the help of his wife Sue, who herself was already a REALTOR®, he learned everything he could in order to not only obtain a license, but be the best REALTOR® he could be. That’s just the way Rick tackles life. Every listing that is on the market, Rick has visited. His real talent is in meeting with prospective purchasers, learning what their goals of home ownership are, and helping make that perfect match. Coupled with his decades of experience in home design and construction, there exists that unique synergy that not only allows him to help buyers find their dream house, but also to create a vision of what it can be.
If you are looking to purchase real estate in the Cambria area, whether as a primary home or as a secondary home to create your own little private hideaway, you owe it to yourself to take advantage of someone whose vast experience, zestful energy and creative vision has come together in such a hard working and enthusiastic soul.
